Girls' Generation and Bangtan Boys are headed to sunny LA! The two popular K-Pop groups have been named as KCON 2014's first two headlining acts.
After making the announcement last week that this year's KCON is going to be the biggest yet with two nights of star-studded concerts, the convention's organizers revealed today that top-selling K-Pop girl group Girls' Generation and popular rookie idol group Bangtan Boys will be performing live at this year's event.
KCON is the largest Hallyu convention in North America and is held in Los Angeles, California every August. Last year's event brought in a record 20,000 attendees, and with the addition of another night of performances including Girls' Generation, one of Korea's most internationally recognizable acts, this year will likely see a huge increase.
For the second year in a row, the concerts will be produced by Korea's #1 K-Pop music chart show M! Countdown.
KCON 2014 is scheduled for August 9 and 10 promises to be the the biggest and most diverse yet. The two-day event, will be full of fun activities that K-Pop fans from around the world can't find anywhere else. Fans will be able to fill their days with artist meet-and-greets, photo ops, celebrity panels, contests, fan workshops and gaming competitions and then have the chance to join thousands of others for the exhilarating, house-rocking live concert each night.
More artist announcements will be made over the coming weeks.
